22nd November 2025
Today wasn’t about numbers. It wasn’t about chasing someone else’s total or comparing weights. Today was about turning up, stepping forward, and proving to yourselves what you’re capable of.
What happened at this kettlebell meet was more than a collection of PBs. It was weeks, months, and in some cases years of consistent effort coming together in one moment. It was courage under load. It was composure when your lungs were burning. It was discipline when your legs were shaking. It was believing in your training, and in yourself, long before the bell was raised off the floor.
Whether you’ve been with me for a few months or you’ve been swinging bells for years, every single one of you brought the same thing today: heart. And heart can’t be measured in kilos.
You showed it in the 100 swings. You showed it in the Turkish Get-Up. You showed it in the goblet squat and the push press. You showed it in that five-minute snatch test that demands everything you’ve got!
Some of you lifted heavier than you ever have. Some of you moved with more confidence than you thought possible. And all of you stepped outside your comfort zone and that’s where progress actually lives.
This team proves something important every session: if you keep showing up, if you keep doing the work, if you keep pushing the line forward you win. Not just today, not just in a test, but in every part of your life where resilience and strength matter.
For what it's worth I’m proud of every single one of you!
Now… here are the results from today’s meet — in no particular order: (Notes 1. If I’ve made any mistakes with the numbers, do let me know — it’s a lot to keep track of while scoring, coaching, and keeping everyone safe. At meets you usually have separate people for each role… today it was just me doing all of it! 2. The snatch test was a primer - we will do this as a listed test, which we will train for, in the summer meet)
