Service Description

Meeting at Wilmington Priory car park in the South Downs National Park. We will hike towards the mysterious Long Man of Wilmington. After a steady climb to the peak near the ancient burial grounds with stunning views we then head South East picking up some of the South Downs Way. We stroll through Lullington Heath National Nature Reserve before heading into the tranquillity of Friston Forest. Within the shelter of this expansive forest we stop to cook a much needed lunch. We then head out to the open hills over the majestic Seven Sisters cliffs with views over the English Channel. Depending on the conditions we will either carry on along the cliffs before heading North along the river Cuckmere or after a shorter walk along the Sisters we head back to the refuge of Friston. Finally, we hike through the Saxon village of Litlington before heading back East towards the hills for one last climb before getting back to the Wilmington priory car park.
