Service Description

Chanctonbury - a prehistoric hill fort that also once situated a Roman temple. Very in keeping with the legion hike series! Starting in Wiston we warmup hiking along the base of Chanctonbury Ring before heading up through beautiful forests to the peak. After taking in a little time to admire the views we hike East along the South Downs Way towards Steyning. Just before we approach the village, which has existed since Anglo-Saxon times, we drop through dense forest on the side of the South Downs before heading back. Depending how we are for time, maybe an explore through some more forest could be in order.... Just because. Time: 1830 Duration: Allow 3 hours. Evening fitness hikes - to cancel or reschedule evening fitness hikes please give us at least 24 hours notice in advance. Day hikes - to cancel or reschedule day hikes we require 48 hours in advance. Multi day tours - please discuss with staff. Whilst we will do our best to accommodate changes this depends on how far in advance we have been given notice in relation to our payments to third party suppliers i.e accommodation etc.
